Ramon R. Hoch is Of Counsel to the firm. He is admitted to practice before the Virginia Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Hoch graduated from the George Mason University School of Law in 1991. Mr. Hoch also received a Bachelorís of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1983.
He has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 1983. Mr. Hochís professional experience includes his prior service as a Primary Examiner for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, in-house patent attorney work for 3M, and outside patent counsel work.
Mr. Hochís practice focuses on patent preparation and procurement, opinion work, and IP portfolio counseling for companies in diverse fields including speciality chemicals, polymers, semiconductors, biomedical devices, electromechanical systems, mechanical devices, and business methods. He has a wide range of experience in intellectual property matters related to transactional matters, trademarks, foreign prosecution supervision, trade secrets, and various proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, Mr. Hoch has performed intellectual property audits for companies. Mr. Hoch has also been significantly involved in patent litigation in Federal district courts and Section 337 proceedings before the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Hoch enjoys jogging, cycling, and hiking.
