Kurt Buechle is admitted to practice before the Virginia, D.C., Illinois, and Pennsylvania Bars and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Buechle graduated from the Indiana University Bloomington School of Law in 2001, after earning a Master of Science degree in biological chemistry from the University of Michigan in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Haverford College in 1996. He has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 2002.
Mr. Buechle has extensive experience in patent prosecution, opinion work, transactional due diligence, and litigation. He has been involved in technical areas such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food science, medical devices, industrial chemicals, and consumer products. He has counseled clients including large corporations, non-profit organizations, start-up enterprises, and the Federal government. He is experienced in both Hatch-Waxman opinions and litigation. Mr. Buechle finds particular satisfaction working with inventors to prepare new patent applications and with experts during discovery. His favorite aspect of patent law is preparing clearance and invalidity opinions.
Mr. Buechle enjoys reading, watching movies, and hiking in his free time. He also likes taking courses to learn something new, be it the guitar, a foreign language, or art.
